Our Social Enterprise Approach to Community Rebuilding
Healing | Empowerment | Enterprise
WCC believes healing and economic empowerment walks together – if we are to rebuild communities with strength, dignity, and cultural integrity. That’s why our healing programs are deeply connected to broader community-building and enterprise outcomes.
Whether it’s supporting women to start their own businesses, helping First Nations artists bring their designs to market, or building the capacity of community memebers or local organisations, every part of our model is designed to lift individuals and communities together.
Economic empowerment is not a side goal—it’s foundational.
When First Nations women and communities have access to culturally safe income opportunities, the ripple effects are profound. Families stabilise. Communities heal. Cycles of violence and disadvantage begin to break.
Because real change comes from within—and together, we’re rebuilding from the inside out.
The Healing Blankets Program is a culturally grounded, healing-centered initiative by Wilde Change Collective that supports First Nations artists in transforming their voice and cultural expression into sustainable income streams through social enterprise.
This program is more than art. It is a pathway to healing, self-determination, and economic empowerment. Participants will journey through a process that honours their creativity while building the practical skills required to thrive as independent sole traders.
